Pakistan Cricket Board took a u-turn on fixing the time frame of ban imposed on former captains, Younis Khan and Muhammad Yousaf and said there is no specified term on it. Media has interpreted the first recommendations of the inquiry committee regarding Younis and Yousaf as being a life ban on these two players from playing for Pakistan

Younis And Yousuf Can Return To Team: Ijaz Butt

Chairman Pakistan Cricket Board Ijaz Butt has said that Muhammad Yousuf and Younis Khan could be taken back in the team, if both of them show some discipline and maintain their fitness. Butt noted that there multiple reasons for barring the players, however, added that the decision has been taken to improve team’s efficiency.

PCB Bans Yousuf, Younis For Life

Taking an unprecedented decision, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has banned Younis Khan and Mohammad Yousuf for life and Rana Naveed and Shoaib Malik each for a year. PCB also fined Shahid Afridi and Kamran Akmal Rs30million for ball tampering, while Umar Akmal also gets Rs20million. PCB has made its inquiry report public, which contained the revelation that former captain Yousuf and Younis Khan tried to create cracks in the team, which resulted into the demise of the cricket team
